Brazilian soccer star Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior has accomplished a lot for a 23-year-old, and soon he’ll have a collaboration with Jordan Brand to add to the list of accomplishments.
Neymar has been working closely with Jordan Brand designers to create his own unique version of an Air Jordan 5 Low, joining a small list of select individuals who have had the privilege to design their own Jordan sneaker. Rumors of the collaborative effort surfaced towards the end of last year and now we finally have some photos of the forthcoming release to prove it’s a real thing.
The Neymar x Air Jordan 5 Low features a silver, black speckled upper over a black midsole with silver teeth and a clear translucent outsole. When hit with a little light, the upper comes to life thanks to a reflective 3M coating. Personal details relating to Neymar include his jersey number, 10, embroidered on the heel of the left sneaker in place of the customary 23, and his personal logo printed on the insoles.
Jordan Brand has yet to officially mention the sneakers or give any sort of indication on when to expect a release, but sources are claiming they’re scheduled for a June release.
