Nike LeBron 9 “Summit Lake Hornets”

Looking back at LeBron’s signature sneakers over the year, you had to have figured that there was going to be a “Summit Lake Hornets” colorway of the LeBron 9. Nike Basketball has made a habit of honoring LeBron’s childhood basketball team with a unique colorway representative of their team, starting with the Nike Zoom LeBron VI in 2009. This year, for the LeBron 9, Nike went with a much more bolder color palette then in previous years. The sneakers feature a bright purple upper over an aqua midsole and white outsole, with additional hints of aqua accenting the Swoosh, lining, and a Hornet illustration that appears on the heel.
