According to Jason Petrie, the Nike LeBron 9 won’t be releasing in a Miami Vice-inspired colorway like the Nike LeBron 8 “South Beach”. That may put a frown on the face of fans who hoped otherwise, but it translates to dollar signs for sneaker customizers. The first customizer to fill the void of there not being a South Beach version of the LeBron 9 is an artist by the name of D@ Prince. Using the black-on-black LeBron 9 as a template, Prince gave the sneakers the South Beach treatment by filling the base of the upper with a vibrant shade of turquoise, then working in pink and black accents on the branding and laces. If Nike Basketball were to release a South Beach version of LeBron’s new signature sneaker and it appeared like so, would you be standing in line to get a pair? Take a look at the sneakers below and let us know in the comments.
