Trekking meets running in the New Balance 581. A new model scheduled to release during the Spring of 2012, the 581 is based off the iconic 574, but designed more for rugged comfort than refined elegance with a thicker, beefier outsole for improved traction, and a hidden lacing system to minimize your shoelaces getting hung up and coming undone on the trails. Next season will see the release of at least two earthy colorways of the 581, both featuring a lightweight and durable upper constructed of suede, mesh and rubber.
