Love em or hate em. Custom Air Jordan’s are more popular then they’ve ever been, replacing the Dunk and Air Force 1, which, at one point, were the most popular sneakers to customize. We’ve showcased several custom J’s over the years and today we bring you a look at yet another pair. Sneaker customizer El Cappy utilized the iconic Air Jordan 3 for his latest project, working the sneakers over to include a theme inspired by the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “All-Star”. El Cappy replicated the design by hand painting the sneakers with the same red-to-black gradient found on Kobe’s kicks. Taking it a step further, he incorporated a scaly snakeskin-like pattern throughout the upper, painting each scale one-by-one. Finer detailing includes blacked out elephant print, a black midsole and tongue, red Jumpman logo’s and hits of white on the mudguard, outsole and heel panel. Grab a detailed look at the sneakers below and let us know in the comments section what you think of the final outcome.
