We have received word that Nike is planning to open a new factory store in Louisville, Kentucky sometime around mid-October. The new location, which will be the 77th Nike Factory Store in the US and the 2nd in Kentucky, will be located in Shelbyville Road Plaza in Louisville, filling the space left by Linens ‘n Things when they went bankrupt in 2008. Guitar Center recently opened its doors at the plaza and the source who emailed us with the story mentions Trader Joes is preparing to open up shop as well. With all these new stores opening and the foot-traffic they’ll bring, it appears Nike picked the perfect location for the new factory store.
