Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 By Kimihiro Takakura

If you had $800 to spend and you could only buy one sneaker, what would it be? One of the most limited Air Jordan’s, a pair of old-school trainers that have never been reproduced and are nearly impossible to find these days, or your own 1-of-1 Air Force 1? For Kimihiro Takaura the choice was simple, his own personally designed, Nike-produced Bespoke Air Force 1.

Takaura laid down $820 at Nike Sportswear’s 21 Mercer Street location in New York City to take the Bespoke Experience and NSW has provided us with a look at his creation. The AF1 fanatic took a rather mild approach with his AF1 considering the abundance of materials and colors made available. The base of the upper contains an even balance of grey suede and white tumbled leather, which is offset with navy blue on the Swoosh and heel tab, and Volt on the Swoosh outline, heel spine and tongue tag branding. A faux-zebra skin is used to construct the tongue tag, while a grey midsole and navy blue outsole compliments the upper. Wrapping things up, Takakura has Nike make special lace dubrae’s for the shoes which read “I AM” and “LOSER”.
