Fuse technology, Phylon and Zoom Air combine on the Air Jordan 2011 Q Flight. This new basketball sneaker from Jordan Brand is a lighter, more responsive version of the standard Air Jordan 2011 model, intended for speedy athletes who are quick on their feet.
The Q Flight maintains some of the original features of the Air Jordan 2011, like the use of a Phylon midsole with an elephant-crackle outsole and an integrated lacing system around a full inner-sleeve, but for the most part the two look nothing of the same. Nor will they perform the same. Gone is the Patina leather upper and in place is a Fuse upper bonding layers of mesh and synthetic materials together for a much lighter fit. A noticeable lower-cut collar than that on the Air Jordan 2011 helps in the weight reduction process while increasing the responsiveness. As mentioned earlier, the same Phylon midsole and elephant-crackle outsole from the AJ2011 is used as a platform, but you get the added benefit of Zoom Air cushioning with the Q Flight.
Jordan Brand is preparing to launch the Air Jordan 2011 Q Flight in five colorways on July 7th for $120 a pop. You’ll have a choice between White/Black, Black/High Voltage, Black/Varsity Red, Black/Varsity Purple or Black/Orion Blue. Grab a look at all of them below and let us know what you think of the Q Flight.
