Michael Jordan’s signature Air Jordan collection carries on long after his retirement.
The current model, the Air Jordan 2011, is one of the most advanced models yet with two sets of removable insoles providing different cushioning effects. The ability to adjust the cushioning based on a players needs had never been offered in a basketball sneaker before. It provided athletes with a whole new level of on-the-go customization.
That same technology is said to be implemented on the Air Jordan 2012 as well, which is believed to be the model seen in this picture that recently surfaced online. The sneakers are reported to be a salesmen sample and while it hasn’t been confirmed by Jordan Brand that they’re the next signature model, the person who snagged the picture, Yote City, claims they are. You may have your doubts about that just like us, but it’s hard not to take his word when he just provided us with the first look at the Air Joran 10 Retro “Chicago” for 2012.
With that being said, the supposed Air Jordan 2012 features plenty of firsts for the flagship Jordan line. For starters there’s the flywire-infused upper, which is a first-of-its-kind for the signature Jordan line. On the bottom end of things you’ll notice a whole new setup. Gone is the old cushioning setup and in place is a sole unit with Max Air cushioning in the heel and Zoom Air in the forefoot. They’re not shown, but as mentioned earlier, the shoes are said to have removable insoles similar to those on the Air Jordan 2011.
Based on what you see so far, what’s your opinion on the Air Jordan 2012?
