The 43 year-old Puma Basket returns this year in a series of new and original colorways. To celebrate the heritage of the silhouette, which is basically a leather-based version of the Puma Suede introduced in 1968, Puma presents the “Golden Since ’68″ Pack. The pack contains three colorways of the Basket, each featuring a leather upper, a suede formstripe and a gold leather lining fit for a king. The color options include a pair in black with a matching black formstripe and two pairs in white, one with a red formstripe and the other with a blue formstripe. Each pair comes with an extra pair of gold laces packaged in a Puma-branded jewelery pouch and what looks to be some sort of little booklet, possibly giving you a quick history lesson on the Basket.
The Puma Basket “Golden Since ’68″ Pack is available now through select Puma distributors, including the Caliroots-owned sneaker boutique Six Feet Down.
