The Air Jordan 5 Retro “Tokyo23” is the newest gotta-have-it Air Jordan for collectors. Made to celebrate Jordan Brand’s T23 streetball tournament, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Tokyo23” was released on April 29th in limited numbers through 3 retailers in Japan. The only way they can be had in the States is to buy a pair off a reseller on eBay. And the collectors are showing they’ll spend whatever it takes to obtain them with one pair going for well over $700 with more than 30 bids placed on it so far.
Prices this high leave the sneakers to the deep-pocketed collectors, one of whom is SneakGeekz. The YouTube celebrity, known for his enthusiastic sneaker reviews on many of the latest sneakers, scored himself a pair of the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Tokyo23”, and as you should expect, he provides us with a video review of his newest pick-up. If you can’t afford to add the sneakers to your collection, the most you can do is enjoy all the coverage the community has given us via photos and videos.
