One of Atlanta’s oldest boutiques is presented with the opportunity of a lifetime. Walter’s, a shoe and clothing store located in the heart of Georgia, has been given the rare chance to design a pair of Air Jordan’s. Jordan Brand hardly does collaborations, so when a shop is asked to add their name to a pair it’s a pretty big deal. Walter’s was blessed with the task of designing the Air Jordan 5 as a way to celebrate their upcoming 60th Anniversary. Previewed here in a preliminary render, the sneakers feature a black base with contrast stitching, several accents of yellow and a “60th” hit on the outer heel. Rumored to be limited to only 60 pairs, the Walter’s x Air Jordan 5 “60th Anniversary” is said to be slated to drop late summer/early fall 2012, according to Atlanta’s Got Sole. We’ll keep you posted on any further details.
