After reusing the tired black and varsity maize color palette a limitless amount of times, Nike is finally starting to work other color variations into it’s LIVESTRONG series and giving consumers more options instead of just black and yellow sneakers. One of the options comes in the form of the WMNS Nike Hyper II “LIVESTRONG” trainer, shown here in a Green Apple/White-Dark Grey-Varsity Maize colorway. Packed with the latest technology, the Hyper II provides a lightweight, flexible fit that mimics the feel of bare feet. Details include a foam skeleton upper for support, a internal asymmetrical structural support system for dynamic fit and multi-directional movement, a Phylite midsole with flex grooves for flexibility and a more natural motion, and rubber pods at the heel and forefoot for excellent traction on all terrain. While the Black/Varsity Maize colorways bear the most resemblance to the LIVESTRONG foundation and it’s signature colorways, it’s the cause behind the sneakers that’s most important, not their colors. Proceeds for each Nike LIVESTRONG produce is donated to the LIVESTRONG foundation to help fund their efforts in the fight against cancer.
The WMNS Nike Hyper II “LIVESTRONG” is available now through NikeStore for $85.
