Last month, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Rice” was withheld from being released on it’s intended January 25th release date. We’ve been waiting for an update on the release ever since, and while a nationwide release date still hasn’t been confirmed yet, we’ve learned that consumers in NY will get first dibs on the sneakers.
Today, Foot Locker announced that they’ll be hosting an early release of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Rice” tomorrow night at their flagship store on 34th Street in New York City. Foot Locker’s actually calling them the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Supreme”, but the flyer really shows they’re the “Rice” version as you can see by the colors and the name of the school on the outer heel. To help celebrate the early release, Foot Locker has invited Kobe Bryant to swing by the store following the Lakers vs Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
The release and Kobe’s appearance are scheduled for 11pm and wristbands to enter the store will be given away starting at 7pm. It’s advised you head long before 7 if you want to get inside. For those of you outside the NYC area, we’ll keep you posted on further details about a nationwide release.
