Nike SB Dunk High “Statue of Liberty” QS – Another Look

The Nike SB Dunk High “Statue of Liberty” is beginning to arrive at select Nike SB retailers as a quickstrike release. This is the third time we’ve previewed the “Statue of Liberty” SB Dunk’s, and it’s our best look at the sneakers yet. When they’re brand new, the sneakers have an unbroken Seagreen leather base¬†similar to the tarnished color of the Statue of Liberty. Once you start skating in them though and they begin to get scuffed up, the sneakers take on an entirely different look. Beneath the green base is a hidden layer in copper which becomes visible only after the green is scuffed away. Dig a little deeper and a third layer in silver breaks through. In addition to that, there’s also a headshot of the Statue of Liberty on the tongue tag.

Nike SB couldn’t of put a better sneaker together to represent Lady Liberty considering the fact she was copper when the French gave her to us and has since turned green. Scrap away the green and the copper shines through – just like the sneakers. If you were interested in the shoes when we first checked them out visit your local Nike SB retailer now to see if they’re available in your area. Photo via: Esperz
