Jordan Brand’s hoping to cash in this month on the success of the Nike LeBron 8 “South Beach” and it’s colorful Art Deco-inspired colorway with the Jordan CMFT Viz Air 11 “South Beach”. The first time we got a look at the shoes was back in November when images of a sample surfaced online. With the US release nearing and the shoes starting to arrive at retailers overseas, we now have a closer look at the production version, and it looks like there’s a some differences. If you recall the original images, the black patent leather had a blue wave-like effect along the toe, something which some of you liked and others felt needed to go. These newer images, provided by Japanese retailer LTD, show us that the retail version won’t have the waves along the toe and that it’s glossy black patent leather all around. I think for the most part it’s a good switch as the shoes will now appeal to a larger audience than if they were to have the waves. An official release is set for February 10th, 2011, and pre-orders are being accepted now through Eastbay.
