Puma Clyde – Tommie Smith Gold

Recently i showed you a pair of Metallic Gold Nike Air Force Ones which pay homage to the closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and now i present this all metallic gold pair of Puma Clydes also inspired by the Olympics. However, these are not based on the Beijing Olympics, the Puma Clyde is inspired by the 1968 Mexico City Olympics and Tommie Smith. Tommie Smith who took part in the Mexico City Olympics, set a record for the 200 meter dash and won the Gold Medal. The sneakers include the use of an all over pattern of the 68′ Mexico City gold medal to make up a metallic gold upper. The tongue tags display the record Tommie Smith set for the 200m dash as well as the actual time itself. Other details include the Mexico City reference on the sock-liner. The sneakers also come with 2 pairs of shoelaces who say 1968 on the tips. Get them now at Overkill.
