The Nike Air Force 1 Supreme “Year of the Rabbit” is sure to make you jump. It’s been 5-years since Nike Sportswear has included a pair of Air Force 1’s in their Chinese Zodiac Series, with the last pair having been released in 2006. So to see them back in the lineup has got a lot of people talking, especially with the unique styling of this year’s “Year of the Rabbit” edition. The Air Force 1 “Year of the Rabbit” features a white leather and off-white suede upper, chenille Swooshes that alternate between red and blue on the lateral and medial sides, red chenille tongue tags with white embroidery of the Chinese translation for the word rabbit, and a graphic of a rabbit on the heel tab. Furthermore, blue accents appear on the lining and laces and special Year of the Rabbit details cover the insoles. A translucent Supreme sole unit is set in place below it all and wraps up the premium design.
When pictures of the sneakers first surfaced it was reported that they’d be releasing only in China. As it turns out that’s not the case as Rock City Kicks, Adikt Footwear, Shoe Gallery and other select Nike retailers in the US are also expected to receive the shoes. The stateside release will go down on January 29th, 2011, and although it hasn’t been confirmed, getting a pair with the custom candy-inspired packaging will most likely not be an option.
