Nike Blazer Mid “Jet Life” Customs

Our friend JBF, from JBF Customs, just hit us up with a look at one of his dopest custom sneakers yet. Known as the Nike Blazer Mid “Jet Life” and dressed in the colors of Gang Green, one may suggest these are inspired by the Jets and their advancement in the playoffs after yesterdays hugely celebrated victory over the Patriots. Any hipster who knows a thing or two about music though is sure to know that’s not the case. The Blazers are actually inspired by hip-hop artist Curren$y and his high-soaring lifestyle, which he calls the  “Jet Life” – also the title of his mixtape. JBF got the theme rolling by constructing the entire upper of the shoes in high quality cow suede in a nice shade of Jet’s green. From there he modified the Swooshes, using glow-in-the-dark material and shaping them to look like jets taking off with a cloud a smoke behind them. That alone would have these labeled as a NY Jets custom, but JBF added a heel cutout of the “Jet Life” sign Curren$y is always throwing up, ensuring there’s no mistaking the inspiration behind them. Wrapping things up is a custom tongue tag that reads “Jets Do It.”, an obvious spin on Nike’s “Just Do It” slogan.

Detailed photos of the sneakers follow below, along with a time-lapse video displaying the creation of the shoes. Those who are interested in getting a pair can do so through JBF Customs. Only 5 pairs will be made and each one will sell for $350.
