A previously-unseen Nike Zoom Kobe VI has surfaced through MarqueeSole. Known as the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “3D”, the sneakers draw on the whole 3D craze that’s taken the world by storm. The base of the upper features a red and cyan anaglyph effect which not only adds some depth to the black scales, but also gives the sneakers the appearance of an out-of-focus 3D image. Without the proper 3D specs, the design is dizzying. Dark grey is used to cover the heel area of the shoes and alternating red and blue accents, which are mismatched on each shoe, appear on the Swoosh, heel counter and Kobe’s logo across the tongue. Additional details include a graphic of a pair of 3D glasses on the backside of the tongue, an icey clear translucent outsole below a black midsole and a pair of LA branded insoles, also with a 3D effect.
No official release details have been announced at this time, but numerous sources are reporting that the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “3D” is scheduled to release sometime around the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. Stay tuned for further details.
