Did you know that in 2010, Derrick Rose became the first Bulls player to make the NBA All-Star lineup since Jordan last competed in 1998? Rose first gained All-Star status back in 2010 when he was announced as a reserve for the Eastern Conference All-Star Team. Having maintained good statistics since and becoming more of a fan favorite over time, there’s no question that Derrick Rose will once again be named an All-Star. For when he descends upon the Staples Center in LA next month for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game adidas is equipping Rose with the adidas adiZero Rose “All-Star”. Unlike most All-Star themed sneakers which use colorways matching those of the player’s uniform, Rose’s sneakers are completely yellow from top to bottom, with minimal accents of blue, matching his uniform in now way what so ever but sure as hell putting a lot of attention on his feet. Nice job adidas.
The sneakers are scheduled to release sometime next month for a retail price of $100. Via: Eastbay
