As Michael Jordan’s alma mater, there may be no school more fitting for a Jordan Brand sponsorship than the University of North Carolina. The school’s basketball program has had a long standing relationship with their most famous alumni, who outfits the team each year with everything they’ll need to compete. Aside from talent of course, which the Tar Heels squad supplies themselves. This season, the North Carolina Tar Heels can been seen running the courts in their very own signature Air Jordan 2010 Team. As one can only expect from a team model like so, the Air Jordan 2010 for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels features a White base paired with accents of University Blue. If the colorway itself doesn’t give it away, the school’s “NC” logo is embroidered across the top of the tongue, with the letters “UNC” appearing on the eyestay.
Much like the other college version’s of the Air Jordan 2010 Team we’ve seen, such as those for the Marquette Golden Eagles and Cal Golden Bears, it’s unlikely these will ever release on a retail level. If you’re a collector though you strives on getting what the public usually won’t, this SZ 9 sample is available on eBay.
