With the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Doernbecher” becoming available through resellers before it’s official release this December, quite a few people jumped on the chance to get a pair early and become the first ones in their neighborhood with a pair. One of those people was sneaker reviewer Top Shelf Sneakers, who of course put together a video review of the sneakers.
During his review of the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Doernbecher”, Top Shelf Sneakers reveals an interesting detail which has us question some of the previous reports about the price of the sneakers. The suggested retail price on the box has the sneakers priced at $125, as shown in the photo above. This was the initial price we were all informed of when information about the sneakers first surfaced, before we even had a picture of the shoes. It’s also the price Jordan Brand has listed on their website for the shoes, although they still haven’t updated the release date info. However, if you recall, when details on the entire Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Project VII emerged, the price for the sneakers was than listed at $160. All this adds some question as to what the official price will actually be. There’s a chance, although small, that these boxes were made before Jordan Brand decided to bump up the price. It’s also possible that the price listed in the press release sent out about the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Project VII was just a misprint.
For now, we’re gonna go with $125. If there’s evidence to prove otherwise we’ll let you know.
