It’s almost as if every other day we’re coming across another New Balance collaboration, further proving the Beantown footwear manufacturer is this year’s go-to-brand for collaborative releases. Less than 24-hours after yesterday’s presentation of two reflective colorways of the 580 and 574 designed in part with DDCLAB, we now present you with a look at a co-branded 498 that Boston-based bike maker Independent Fabrication worked on with New Balance. Making use of Independent’s team colors and insignia, which can be seen on their newly fabricated Steel Deluxe Singlespeed frameset sitting behind the box, the sneakers feature a green suede and mesh base with accents of yellow and black, a white midsole with a black outsole, and the brand’s signature logos on the tongue and heel. According to what’s being reported by Independent, the shoe’s are one of a kind and aren’t expected to be released to the public at this point in time. If that changes at some point we’ll let you know. For now though, follow the jump and enjoy the photos.
