With the 2010-2011 NBA season set to tip off in just a few short weeks, adidas Originals has started to release their NBA-themed sneakers. As an official sponsor of the NBA, adidas Originals has the licensing rights to be the only footwear company able to produce sneakers with official logos of the league and it’s teams. Their not shy about using it either, having already launched a Top Ten Hi and Attitude High with the NBA insignia, which we now see being countered with a Superstar 2. White leather fabricates the base of the legendary shell toe, with brown leather appearing on the heel tab and red and black accents filling in the three-stripes. A double-wide stripe in red, black and white, runs up the tongue and down the heel spine, pairing nicely with the way the three-stripes are colored, and the NBA logo of a silhouetted Jerry West appears on the tongue tag alongside the standard adidas branding.
