After breaking news about the sneakers in mid-September, we can now finally give you a first look at the Air Jordan 3 Retro”Doernbecher”. As part of the annual charity event held by Portland’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Jordan Brand offered one of the young sneaker enthusiasts seeking help at the hospital a chance very few people in life get. The chance to design their very own Air Jordans. Having used the Air Jordan II in 2007, the Air Jordan I in 2008 and the Air Jordan IV in 2009, the Air Jordan III was selected for the 2010. We’re not quite sure what the back story is behind the design seen printed throughout the Varsity Red upper, or who the youngster is that had the honor of selecting the Varsity Red/Metallic Silver-Black color palette, but all that will come in due time. What you really wanna know is the release date, right? As is stand right now, the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Doernbecher” is slated to release on November 12th, 2010 for a retail price of $125. As you should come to expect, the release will be limited, becoming available only through select Niketowns locations and NikeStore.com. As further details about the sneakers emerge we’ll keep you posted.
