Each October, thousands of products are emblazoned with pink ribbons or colored pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From the grocery stores to the malls, you’ll see pink everywhere as companies big and small join in campaigns to help spread breast cancer awareness. Even here at Sneaker Obsession we’re showing our support by not only changing the color of our logo and links to pink, but also by participating in and donating to a walk-a-thon put on by The American Cancer Society later this month in NY. To top it off, we put together this special segment titled “Kicking Cancer To The Curb – 28 Breast Cancer Awareness Sneakers” featuring 8 pages of sneakers from Nike, Supra, Keds, adidas, New Balance and Reebok, that were all produced in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This year, Supra Footwear and Factory 413 teamed up with LA based retailer Elyse Walker to create a limited edition Skytop to help raise money for the boutiques annual “Pink Party” benefiting the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Research Institute. Featuring a tonal grey base sitting atop a white vulcanized sole, the Skytop brings itself together with accents of vivid pink on the sockliner, eyelets, pinstripes along the midsole and on the outsole. They were released towards the end of September in a limited run of 30 pairs exclusively through Elyse Walker.
