Nike Air Max 1 “Crepe Sole”

Patta’s collaboration on the Air Max 1 for their 5th Anniversary started a frenzy throughout the sneaker world, putting Nike’s classic runner in high demand like never before. Since than, there’s been an endless amount of Air Max 1 colorways surfacing at retailers around the globe. While they’ve all had their own appeal and charm, these two pairs are sure to be the most unique ones you’ll see this year. Shown in two color options, black and off-white, these Air Max 1’s appear to be pretty basic with a leather and mesh construction with no unusual changes noticeable throughout the upper. However, once you bring your eyes down and focus your attention on the bottom end of the shoes you’ll instantly notice a difference. The standard outsole has been swapped with a crepe sole, something which Clarks Originals has utilized on much of their footwear since first introducing the Desert Boot in the ’50s. We can’t be to sure right now when exactly the crepe sole Air Max 1 models will release, but we do know they’re expected to hit select Nike Sportswear retailers before the end of the year. When we hear more we’ll let you know. Via: Kenlu
