Was it the shoes? While Kevin Durant was scoring the most points ever by an American in the FIBA World Championship (28pts) and becoming the tournament’s MVP, he was doing so in a pair of Nike’s innovative Zoom Hyperfuse. The exact same sneakers which Rajon Rondo became an unstoppable force in during the 2010 NBA Finals. Hopefully, for Durant’s sake, the shoe’s had nothing to do with his ability to overpower the competition as he’ll be giving up the Hyperfuse for his new signature model this coming NBA season, the Nike Zoom KD III. While you’ll see him taking to the court early this season for the Oklahoma Thunder, you’ll have to wait a little longer to get your hands on the KD III. No worries though cause once they drop the colorways will be plentiful. Shown here are 6 color schemes of the Nike Zoom KD III which are all expected to drop throughout the Summer of 2011. It’ll be interesting to see if Kevin Durant can still be the driving force he was for Team USA when he laces up his own kicks for the Thunder.
When further details are available we’ll let you know, until then follow the jump for another look at the six color options.
