In an effort to help raise money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Dr. Romanelli teamed up with Converse to produce the “Born in the USA” Pack as part of the brand’s (PRODUCT)RED collection. Making use of Converse’s new cupsole Chuck Taylor known simply as the All-Star Cup, Dr. Romanelli designed two pairs for the pack which both feature an American flag design on a duck canvas upper. One comes in full color with the American color’s proudly displayed, while the other features a tonal Black finish. Continuing with the USA theme, a graphic of our nation’s bird, the bald eagle, appears on the insoles along with the Dr. Romanelli logo.
The Dr. Romanelli x Converse All-Star Cup “Born in the USA” Pack is set to officially release on September 15th, 2010 at Offspring, including Offspring at the Selfridges. Via: Crooked Tongues
