Every sneaker customizer has a sneaker which they prefer to use as a canvas for their artwork. The Dunk and Air Force 1 are always two of the more popular choices, with the Chuck Taylor being another which some consider the perfect black canvas. JBF Customs is partial to the Nike SB Blazer, having proved it with his last 4 or 5 custom sneakers which were all SB Dunk’s. Chalking up another one, JBF Customs presents us with the Nike SB Blazer “Royale”, a personal project which he designed for his own collection.
Inspired by royalty, the Nike SB Blazer “Royale” maintains a look taken from the purple robes and flashy jewelry once worn by kings of years past. The toe, tongue, lace panels, Swoosh and heel are all constructed from Purple suede which surrounds a quilted Silver mid-panel with a holographic effect to it that color shift through every shade of the rainbow depending on light and angle the shoes are viewed. The same material is also seen on the heel tab of the shoe, just without the quilted finish. A crushed Red velvet lines the entire shoe to round off the theme of a king’s robe and red contrast stitching is used to hold it all in place. Marking his work, JBF emboridered his insignia to the tongue and heel.
These are defiantly one of the dopest kicks from JBF Customs thus far. Probably not something everybody would wear, but the original idea, the use of materials and the craftsmanship have these looking official. Follow the jump to peep a couple more photos of the sneakers.
