Harlem’s, Uptown’s or just plain old Air Force 1′s. No matter what you call em, ‘heads know what you’re talking about. The Air Force 1 has been a staple for the Summer months and there’s not to sneakerhead out there who doesn’t have a least one pair in their arsenal. This past weekend Nike released one of their limited models, the Hamptons Air Force 1′s paying tribute to the Long Island hotspot. In between their limited releases Nike’s been serving up plenty of general releases to pass the time. One of the newest falls under the women’s division.
Lighter colors are usually preferred to beat the heat but that’s not the case here, as a coat of black leather covers the base with a thick mesh-like texture on the toe-box and mid-panel. Accents of Solar Red on the Swoosh and heel tab work together to draw your attention, while a dose of white on the mid-sole divides the Solar Red accent on the outsole from those used on the upper. Overall a nicely colored AF1 for the women.
