What does LeBron James have in common with NBA legends like Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan? Back to back MVP awards. Unlike the others though, LeBron’s got his own sneakers honoring his consecutive MVP awards.
If you recall, we’ve taken a look at LeBron’s MVP sneaker a few times now, however, we’ve just learned something which we’re sure some of you are gonna be pretty happy about. According to reports by LRJ23, the Nike Air Max LeBron VII “MVP” will defiantly be making a retail appearance this year, giving you the chance to celebrate along with The King. This NFW version of the Air Max LeBron VII features style and colorway inspired by LeBron’s Nike varsity jacket with a white leather base, grey fleece filling in the areas where the flywire would normally sit and a soft gold chenille covering the Swoosh. Crimson accents come into play on the trim around the Swoosh, on the inner lining and around the ankle, within the visible air unit and on the included laces. To commemorate LeBron’s awards, stacked, interlocking MVP lettering is included on the medial side of the upper in gold with crimson pipping, while 09 and 10 are printed on the backside of the tongue with a graphic of a trophy in the center of the numbers showing a silhouette of LeBron and his unstoppable tomahawk dunk. Lastly, the icey outsole features gold speckles and Witness History is split between the pull tabs on the heel.
Although it’s been confirmed that the sneakers will release, there’s been no official date announced at this time, so while we wait for more details you may wanna click the jump and snag another peek at the shoes for now.
