The artwork of Jean-Michel Basquiat has been known to fetch prices upwards of $14 million dollars. Needless to say, not a feasible price for to many people out there. Thankfully though, if you’re a fan of his work you can get a piece of his history for a fraction of what it would cost to purchase an original painting thanks to Basquiat’s estate teaming up with Reebok to infuse the work of the late, great artist into a collection of shoes.
After releasing a few styles over the past couple of seasons, Reebok has just unleashed a new edition to the collection in the form of a Pump Omni Lite. Pairing white and black together for the base of the shoes, Basquiat’s signature graphics are displayed all around the shoes, even on the tongue where Basquiat’s name appears above a crowned Pump unit. They’re available now through colette in France with other select Reebok accounts expected to be receiving the shoes soon.
