After seeing their “Orlando Sucks” t-shirt last year we suspected there would be a little something coming our way from LA-based UNDFTD in honor of the Lakers run against the Boston Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals. This year they’ve stepped up their game, adding a pair of sneakers designed in collaboration with Converse to coordinate with two new t-shirts.
Spinning Boston’s “BEAT LA” chant which originates back to the days when Magic and Bird use to square off in the old Boston Garden, UNDFTD presents the “You Can’t Beat LA” Collection. Consisting of a Converse Chuck Taylor, a west coast favorite, and two graphics tees which are available in Lakers home and away colorways, the “You Can’t Beat LA” collection is undoubtedly unbeatable for all the Lakers fans out there. Whether you’re attending any of the games in LA or Boston, or watching them on a big-screen HD TV at home or in a bar, support your boys in style and let everybody know what’s up!
The UNDFTD “Strike” tee with the company’s logo in Lakers colors is available in UNDFTD stores and through their webstore. The “You Can’t Beat LA” doesn’t appear to be available online and is believed to be an in store exclusive only available through UNDFTD chapter locations. As for the sneakers, they can’t be bought. They can only be won. If you live close to one of the UNDFTD flagship locations and you make an in store purcahse of one of the t-shirts you’ll be given a raffle ticket which enters you into a contest to win 1 of 8 pairs of the “You Can’t Beat LA” Chuck Taylor’s. The winners will be announced tomorrow, June 7th via UNDFTD’s blog, Twitter account and Facebook page, so you better hit up one of the shops today if you want a chance in winning a pair.
