When I hear the name Ronnie Fieg the first thing that comes to mind is “Asics Specialist.” Considered to be somewhat of an exclusive Asics collaborator, Ronnie’s presented the industry with some of the most sought after sneakers in the Asics lineup. His latest development to hit the shelves was the Asics Gel Lyte III “Super Red” and just like all the previous Asics releases he’s had a hand in, these were extremely desirable. The sneakers released in a limited quantity of 252 pairs on May 21st, 2010, with the stock being split between DavidZ’s brick and mortar location in NYC and their webstore. Within a matter of minutes (Reported to be 5mins by some sources), all 250 pairs of the Super Red Gel Lyte III were gone.
Being there their were only 252 pairs made available to the public, it’s needless to say a lot of people missed out on the Super Red’s. Me being one of them. If the lost put a damper on your day and your still interested in getting a pair of the Asics Gel Lyte III “Super Red” designed by Ronnie Fieg, swing through eBay. There’s a few sizes available with most going for around $200 which isn’t all to bad in my opinion. It’s unfortunate my size isn’t listed. Most of the auctions listed include the Super Red t-shirt company produced to coincide with the release.
