The Nike Toki ND is the epitome of a subtle and sophisticated sneaker. Fusing together elements from the Blazer and Sabaku, Nike introduced the chukka-style shoes back in 2009 and has since carried them through 2 years of steady releases. Recently we saw three new offerings as part of the Summer releases and here we feature two more which are schudled to drop later this year along with Nike’s Holiday 2010 releases.
As with all the Nike Toki ND releases thus far, the two Holiday 2010 releases shown here follow the K.I.S.S. standard and make use of simple, monochromatic uppers which allow the design of the sneaker itself to do all the talking. Buttery smooth suede is used to construct the upper’s of both, one in black and the other in bordeaux, with matching white vulcanized sole units consisting of grey piping sitting beneath them. Some interesting features here which haven’t been seen on other Toki ND’s are the hook and loop eyelets on the upper most part of the midfoot and the elimination of any overlaying material for the Swoosh, using only an outline of the logo and letting the suede base bleed through.
Watch for them to drop later this year along with the rest of the goodies Nike has lined up for the holiday shopping season.
