While many claim this year to be the Year of the Foamposite, it’s actually the Year of the Air Max if you ask us. Air Max releases have been head and shoulders above any other model this year, largely in part to the various Air Attack pack’s coming out and the new silhouettes like the Air Max 2010 and the Air Max 24-7 which stirred up quite the interest among sneakerheads. Foamposites are defiantly in abundance this year, there’s no denying that, but it’s impossible to compare the handful of Foam’s to the cargo of Air Max’s and consider it the Year of the Foamposites.
Besides for the special edition packs and the new silhouette’s being offered, Nike’s also been dishing out plenty of regular Air Max 90 releases. Most of which have gone under the radar due to their predecessor’s grabbing the spotlight. Which is why we tracked down the latest Air Max 90 for the month, to help bring the sneakers back into the light for the upcoming Summer season.
Shown here is the newest Air Max 90 which just became available through Finish Line. Sporting a leather wicked purple base, the shoes are accented by the way of white mesh on the tongue and around the ankle, white plastic lace tabs, a white leather Swoosh and a varsity yellow liner to match the varsity yellow Air Max unit and the tongue tag branding. If you’re interested in picking a pair up you can do so now at Finish Line for $95.
