Ever since appearing on the Nike Air Flightposite, the purple-ish eggplant color has been worked into a number of different shoes over the years, from a Blazer to a Big Nike High down to a Air Penny III. The most notorious of the bunch are the Foamposite and Hyperdunk, with an Eggplant 1/2 Cent looking to share some of the fame as it’s anticipation builds for an expected release in the coming months. With the purple hue proving to be such a prominent color, can this upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe V be just as desirable?
Rumored to be part of Nike’s Holiday 2010 Collection, this Nike Zoom Kobe V surfaced earlier through an eBay auction in a SZ 9 sample. The sneakers in fact don’t use the exact same color as all the other eggplant releases however, upon first viewing them some people were quick to dub them the Eggplant Kobe V’s due to their purple tinge. Or, cause that’s what the seller labeled them as in the title to attract some more attention. That’s neither here nor there though. The color scheme is actually labeled as Ink/Metallic Silver-Black and although far from the eggplant color, this Zoom Kobe V is defiantly a pleasure to look at.
It’s unclear at this time when exactly the Nike Zoom Kobe V Ink/Metallic Silver-Black will release, but if you’re a collector or happen to wear a SZ 9 and can dish out $560 dollars, there’s a pair awaiting you now on eBay.
