Nike Air Force 1 “Jones Beach” – 2010 Release

NiceKicks has just reveled that Nike will be re-releasing the Jones Beach Air Force One’s that originally came out last year in 2009. If you recall, only select NY-based retailers received the shoes at the time, most of which were located in the surrounding area of Jones Beach in Long Island. The word is, the sneakers will be hitting select retailers again, however, they’ll now be distributed throughout the nation, making the limited release from last year no longer all that limited. To bad for the solo seller on eBay who’s hoping to snag $500 for his DS 10.5.

The Air Force 1 brings the Jones Beach lifestyle to life in various ways. Birch canvas is used throughout the toe and mid-section, resembling the sandy beach, while the heel area is covered with leather and imprinted with a design inspired by the wooden fences that locals and visitors alike are use to seeing scattered around the beach. The tongue tags includes an image of the Jones Beach Tower in between light blue Jones Beach lettering, and the heel spine includes light blue numbering of the latitude and longitude of where the beach is located. Furthermore, the translucent light blue outsole, resembling water, incorporates a solid black silhouette of Long Island and a pair of light blue outsoles features a white silhouette with “Strong Island” printed on it.

It’s unclear exactly which boutiques will be getting the sneakers, so it’s best to contact your local retailer for further details, or keep your eyes on the shop blogs for updates.
