If you’ve been stocking up on the recent Air Force 1 releases you may have noticed somewhat of a trend. Patent leather and patent leather. Taking a few notes from Futura’s Air Force Ones inspired by the Yankees, Nike’s reworked the perforated leather uppers to incorporate the use of some patent leather.
It all started with a Black Patent Leather Low. Which was soon followed by a Team Red Patent Leather Low. Feeling as if they’ve come across a great combo of materials, Nike’s giving us a third version of the perforated leather/patent leather mix. Within the coming months Nike will be releasing a white version which, you guessed it, uses white patent leather on the toe and white perforated leather on the mid-panels and heel. Whereas the other two colors used tonal Swooshes and no real color accent this version does the accept opposite. Sitting pretty across the site of the upper is a Marina Blue Swoosh constructed from patent leather. The heel tab is done up in exactly the same fashion, further highlight the upper and the icey marina blue outsole caps off what is sure to be a Summer must have for all Air Force One heads.
No official release date has been announced just yet but thanks to Foot Locker we’ve got a few pictures to keep our mouths in the mean time. Follow the jump to check em out.
