Honoring the 2010 World Expo, or Expo 2010 Shanghai China as it’s officially called this year, Nike Sportswear produced this Nike Blazer Mid inspired by the Chinese National Pavilion that was built for the 2010 Expo by Chinese architect He Jingtang.
In a tonal challenge red base, the shoes feature the use of premium leather throughout most of the upper, with ripstop nylon on the toe and heel tab. White line graphics create various shapes on the side panels which we are told is inspired by the design of the Chaniese National Pavilion, a structure meant to resemble an ancient Chinese crown. A contrasting shade of black rests on a ripstop nylon Swoosh, and added accents of white appear along the base of the upper and on the vulcanized sole.
According to Kix-Files, who happens to have a few pairs of the sneakers in stock, the Nike Blazer Mid “World Expo Shanghai” is a Quickstrike set to release exclusively through retailers in Asia. Just like the Cheongsam Pack we showed you not all to long ago. If you want a pair though and don’t plan of booking a flight to Asia anytime soon, hit up Kix-Files now to grab yourself a pair.
