Briezrs stopped by the forum today to show us his newest pair of custom sneakers which he calls the “Ember”. The base sneaker for this project is the New Balance 554. The spring and summer seasons are known to be the time of year to get those BBQs going, so the idea for these custom sneakers were derived from burning charcoal. As Briezrs puts it himself, the different colors are used to show the different stages. Black being the charcoal, dark red and brown being the initial burning process, the patterns which represent the embers and of course, white for the ashes. The firery abstract design on the front and back of the New Balance sneakers is inspired by a Russian 1910′s art movement known as Rayonism.
