Nike Vandal High Vintage Nylon – Birch/Pink-Grey

Many tend to forget it but the Nike Vandal High was the first of it’s kind when it originally hit the scene in 1985. In a market saturated with heavy, leather basketball sneakers, Nike designed the Vandal with a lightweight nylon upper. Leather versions are the standard now-a-days but thankfully we got Nike Sportswear bringing back the Vandal in it’s original form.

Over the past couple of years a few Vintage Nylon Nike Vandal’s surfaced at retailers and as part of the Nike Sportswear Summer 2010 Collection we’re being blessed with a few more. First up is this birch-colored number sporting a grey Nike Swoosh and heel panel with accents of pink applied around the Swoosh and on the entire mid-sole. If it weren’t for the pink mid-sole I’d be scooping up a pair as we speak, but for my personal taste the pink mid-sole is just a little much. Although it does look great against the birch base.

Available now at select Nike retailers in the UK such as Well Gosh.
