When it comes to Asics collaborations nobody can touch Ronnie Fieg. The man is on top of the game and a lot of the shoes he’s designed for the company have been some of the most sought after models. Take for example the epic Trilogy Project, or the Super Red Gel Lyte III which we still haven’t seen an entire photo of, but yet remain a hot topic.
Having a long history working with Asics Ronnie’s got a lot of sneakers in his possession which have never made it into a mass production run. A lot of 1 of 1 samples. Some of them he’s given away, like the Gel Lyte III “Salmon Toe” and GT II “Aqua”, others he’s kept for his own collection like the Asics GT Quick “NY Knicks” seen here.
Using a combination of grey and orange suedes, mixed with white perforated leather and blue accents, Ronnie Fieg has created quite possibly the most captivating colorway in the GT Quick department. It’s unfortunate the shoes never made it into production cause we’re sure these would be a hot item on the retail floor. But for now they’ll just have to remain in our memories as it’s likely none of us will ever get our hands on a pair to rock.
