Being a California native, and a big basketball fan, it’s only natural P-Rod bleeds purple and gold, the colors of the Los Angeles Lakers. Paul’s used the color scheme in a few collaborations under his shop, Primitive, and now he and Nike SB have worked the colorway onto his Zoom P-Rod 2.5 hybrid.
Bringing out the Lakers colorup Nike SB coated the P-Rod 2.5 with a solid grand purple upper constructed mostly from suede, with a pinch of mesh around the ankle and leather on the heel tab. To accent the upper and finish up the Lakers color scheme the Swoosh was draped in varsity maize and a dose of white was injected onto the mid-sole, with grand purple jumping in again on the mid-sole stitching.
We haven’t an exact release at this time but judging how the sneakers are surfacing at retailers overseas, such as Tenisufki, it’s believed they should be hitting the states possibly next month in May.
