Vans Vault Old Skool “San Diego Padres”

San Diego is unfortunately off to a bad start, with the Padres losing their first of five games against the Diamondbacks in a 3-6 match last night. The gang will play five more on the road, four more against the Diamondbacks and one against the Rookies, before returning to San Diego for a season opener at PETCO Park on April 12th.

To honor the home opener Vans Vault will be releasing the Old Skool “San Diego Padres” on the very same day. The shoes, which are part of the Vans Vault x MLB “Opening Day Collection” and inspired by the alternate jersey’s of the Padres, feature an urban camo pattern laid out on a canvas upper sitting above a white sole unit. San Diego’s “SD” insignia is worked onto the heel in dark green raised embroidery to match the coloring of the Padres lettering on the authentic Majestic Padres jersey which will release alongside the sneakers.

As with all the other sneakers in the Opening Day Collection, the Vans Vault Old Skool “San Diego Padres” is limited to a total of 12 pairs. All 12 pairs, and the included jerseys will only be available through Blends on April 12th, 2010, the official date of the San Diego Padres home opener.
