Now that the Air Griffey Max 1 Retro’s are over and done with Nike’s starting to ship out the first colorway of Ken Griffey Jr’s second signature sneaker, the Air Griffey Max GD II. When we originally announced that the GD II would be making a comeback many of you were pleased to know that the Griffey’s Swingman Series wasn’t going to end with just a few Griffey Max 1 Retros and that Nike would indeed bring back some of the other models in the lineup.
If you’ve been waiting to get your hands a pair the wait is now over as Finish Linehas just added the sneakers to their webstore. The first of a few Air Griffey Max GD II’s to release this year is the Black/Varsity Red version which we’ve taken a look at a couple times thus far. Black tumbled leather is used throughout the upper with subtle accents of Varsity Red appearing on the Nike Swoosh’s and within the visible Max Air unit.
