With the sneaker industry currently at it’s peak and reaching heights none of us could of pictured back in the late 80′s and early 90′s, everybody and their mother is looking for some sort of way to get in on the market and capitalize off the consumers. While some brands broke into the industry with style and success, others simply embarrassed themselves one way or another. Which is what exactly we feel General Motors is doing to themselves with a footwear line of Cadillac sneakers.
In what comes as a surprise to us, and sort of seems like a joke at the same time, GM has released their own line of footwear under the Cadillac brand name. Several different silhouettes have been released under names such as Coupe STS, Coupe LE, Spoke, Spoke 2, Spoke Brent, Derby, Seville, Reno, Contrail and the Atlante. Some of them are defiantly fashionable, but the fact they have been released under the Cadillac name just doesn’t appeal to me and leaves me feeling like they’re “lame”. Don’t get me wrong, I have long loved Caddies, including the old classic ones from the 50′s and 60′s, but to have the Cadillac name on my shoes is an entirely different story and not something I can really get down with. To each their own though.

Actually even tho its a car company and they shouldnt have anything to do with sneaker manufacturing, some of those dont look too bad. I mean the Derby, Contrail, and Atlante look like something Clea would release. I personally kind of like the Contrail. Plus i have been driving Cadillacs for 10 years now lol.
If you’re a Cadillac owner these would be perfect, but I don’t think I’d look to good jumping out of a Grand Cherokee in a pair of sneakers with the Caddy logo on it lol.
I hope I’m not the only one who realizes that these look EXACTLY like Clae sneakers.

For your information GM is not in the business of making footwear. Another company is making these footwear with the permission of GM. That is much different than insinuating that GM is in the footwear business.
They used to make clothing back in the day with the sweaters and t-shirts they used to create so it wasn’t a supraise to me but they are okay but not super.
I rock’em if they are cheap and if you can’t afford the good life like before they look okay.

CrazyMTF – I remember those tees they use to have. I think the kicks sell for around 60-80.
CLAE needs to receive any profits made from the sale of these shoes. It is hideous to believe that you can completely steal a design and flaunt it in the face of the world as your own. I own aCadillac and I am totally dismayed by this.

i just scooped a pair of these bad boys at a local Burlington Coat Factory. i got the all black Renos. they cost me about $40 which isn’t bad at all. they’re REALLY comforatable and i think they’re some dope ass kicks.
