With Jordan Brand celebrating their 25th Anniversary they’ve lined up tons of special releases for the year and have dug deep into the vaults to pull out some goodies which are sure to make some jaws drop. Since the Air Jordan 1 started it all 25yrs ago and literally changed the footwear game forever, we’re sure to see a couple AJ1’s hit distributors throughout the year, none though will even come close to comparing to the Air Jordan 1 “KO”, also known as the “AJKO”, a highly sought after Jordan.
Nobody is really sure what the “KO” stands for, some say it stands for “Knock Out”, and it was never really clear as to why the shoes ever released and what purpose they served with the name, but we do known when it comes to the Air Jordan 1 series, which is already the most sought after model, the AJKO is the rarest of them all going for prices of $3,000+ on eBay. You’ve probably seen images of the White/Black/Red colorway of the KO which is set to release as a retro this Fall but have you’ve laid eyes on this White/Red version yet? I’m not sure if this is an original colorway of the AJKO or not but that shouldn’t matter when it comes to your decision on whether they’re copable or not. To give the sneakers that vintage throwback look a slightly yellowed canvas was used along with a yellowed mid-sole.
We haven’t an official release date just yet but when we know more about both upcoming colorways of the Air Jordan 1 “AJKO” Retro we’ll be sure to fill you in.
